Movement Festival 2024 Rocks Detroit with Techno Titans and Hip-Hop Heavyweights

The "Motor City" revs its engine for another year of pulsating beats as Movement Festival, one of the world's longest-running electronic dance music events, returns to Hart Plaza for Memorial Day Weekend (May 25-27, 2024).

This year's lineup promises to be a landmark occasion, celebrating the rich heritage of Detroit techno while also pushing the boundaries of the genre.


Techno Royalty Takes Center Stage

Movement wouldn't be Movement without the pioneers who birthed techno. This year, attendees can witness a legend in the making as Kevin Saunderson, one-third of the Belleville Three techno innovators, joins forces with the iconic British actor Idris Elba for a collaborative set sure to electrify the crowd. Saunderson is also a founding member of influential groups like Inner City and Juan Atkins, solidifying his place as a true techno titan.

Detroit's own Carl Craig, another techno heavyweight, brings back his beloved Detroit Love revue, showcasing the city's vibrant electronic music scene.


Hip-Hop Royalty Joins the Party

Movement isn't just about techno. This year's festival boasts a diverse lineup, including some of hip-hop's biggest names. Multi-platinum recording artist Ludacris is set to bring his signature Southern swagger to the stage, while Detroit's own Tee Grizzley will represent his hometown crowd with his powerful rhymes.
